GAA NEWS: SCHOOLS NOTES

first_imgFootball Championship:Fixtures for the 2012/13 season are now on the website. Teachers are encouraged to play as many blitzes as possible in their section in order to give the pupils as much game time as possible. Results should be recorded and the school with the most wins will qualify for the knockout stages in April.Mouth Guards: Teachers please note that from Jan. 1st 2013, it is compulsory for all players to wear mouthguards during Cumann na mBunscol football competitions. Players will not be allowed on to the field of play without one after this date. This is a directive from the National Committee of the GAA and will also be implemented at club level.Ulster Indoor Football/Camogie:The finals of the above competitions will take place in Cookstown, Co Tyrone on Thurs 18th April. Donegal will be represented in the football by Kilmacrennan NS and by Woodlands NS in the camogie. Best of luck to both these schools. Information regarding times and venue will be emailed to the relevant schools shortly.Rounders: Schools should now have their first round games played.
