Founding Faculty Member, Surveying Engineering Technology,Tenure-Track Faculty (open rank)Rowan University invites applications for an innovative educator tolead a new Surveying Engineering Technology Program. Applicantsshould have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, anestablished record of publication, and be able to meet the criteriafor the rank of associate professor or full professor.This is a new career-oriented program leading to a Bachelor ofScience in Surveying Engineering Technology degree. The programwill be seeking ABET accreditation. This four-year degree is theeducational requirement for licensure as a Professional LandSurveyor in the State of New Jersey. The program is structured as ajoint in partnership with Rowan College of South Jersey at theGloucester County campus.Primary responsibilities of this position include strong leadershipto build this new program, seek and maintain ABET accreditation,and develop ties with local and regional industry. The successfulapplicant is expected to teach courses in the program and developstrategies to attract students into the program including newfreshmen as well as those in the surveying, geography orengineering field seeking a second degree. The successful applicantwill also be expected to develop an assessment strategy to bringthe program through the accreditation process, review and modifythe curriculum to maintain its currency, and attract new faculty tothe program as it grows.Qualifications: A terminal degree in Surveying, Geomatics,Geography, Engineering or Engineering Technology and licensure as aProfessional Land Surveyor are required.Start date: The anticipated starting date for this positionis January 1, 2021Applications : Applications must be submitted through ouronline applicant tracking system at http://jobs.rowan.edu .
