Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Physician
The Department of Neurology at the University of Maryland School ofMedicine and the University of Maryland Rehabilitation andOrthopaedic Institute are seeking a full-time physician for anoutstanding academic practice opportunity in Spinal Cord InjuryMedicine rehabilitation. The position involves inpatient andoutpatient practice, teaching of fellows, residents and medicalstudents, and an opportunity to participate in collaborativeclinical research. Besides spinal cord injury and dysfunction,there is also the potential to participate in other rehabilitationservices such as spasticity management, prosthetics and inpatientrehabilitation consultation. This is an opportunity to join amotivated team of physicians, nurses and therapists that run thelargest inpatient spinal cord injury rehabilitation program inMaryland. This position reports directly to Dr. Peter Gorman,Chief, Division of Rehabilitation Medicine.Qualifications :Candidates should have completed a residency in PM&R orNeurology and be board eligible or certified in their respectivefield. Added certification in spinal cord injury medicine isrequired. Clinical research experience is desirable but notrequired.
