Required fields are marked * Make a comment The First Tee of Greater Pasadena, in partnership with the Pasadena Host Lions Club, is currently conducting its first introductory golf program for the students with visual impairments in the Pasadena Unified School District. Located at Wilson Middle School, these courses have been running since April 1st and will continue until May 29th.On May 29th, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., the students from the Golf Program for Students with Visual Impairments will participate in the grand finale at the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena. This event will take place in Brookside’s practice area, to the left of the main driving range.The First Tee of Greater Pasadena utilizes introductory golf equipment called SNAG that is durable and safe for indoor and outdoor use. The equipment is modified, developmentally appropriate and consists of colorful oversized clubs, tennis-style balls and a variety of targets. Both right-handed and left-handed clubs are available, and the equipment includes enough clubs, targets and balls for up to 30 participants per session.” DRIVE is the program that the students will utilize, which stands for Develops Rewarding, Inspiring Values for Everyone.Below is information regarding the grand finale event with the First Tee of Greater Pasadena, the Pasadena Host Lions Club and the Pasadena Unified School District:The Grand Finale Event will be held on Friday, May 29th, 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Brookside Golf Course (Just left of the main driving range – 1133 Rosemont Avenue, Pasadena).For More Information, contact Angel M.
